Each Art Doll from Collection 1 is a one-of-a-kind, handmade character with an internal mobile brass structure which allows its arms and legs to rotate. Please visit 'the making process - collection 1' for information on how the dolls are made.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This doll is a work of art and not a toy. It is for display purposes only.
The dolls are not made to stand. The images where they are standing are for illustration purposes only.
It must be protected from heat and direct sunlight. (Please visit the 'doll care advice' page on this website for more information about how to care for the dolls.)
Every doll is a unique creation, no molds are used, therefore imperfections or irregularities are evidence of its handmade nature since it's not mass produced or made by a machine.

About Seraphim:

(2011)

I think Seraphim has an air of a Russian barin (member of landowning gentry) of the XIX century. A melancholic and poetic looking character.

Materials used:

Brass, Cernit polymer clay, glass eyes, mohair.
Pyjamas: dark blue Cotton Satin, with pearly grey Cotton Velvet trim.
Dressing gown: shell, Cotton Velour; lining, fine Italian Cotton Corduroy.

Special trait:

Seraphim's tips of the fingers are slightly tinted blue from where they are in contact with his dressing gown.

Measurements*:

Total height: 42cm (including 2cm hair volume).
Seated height: 27cm (including 2cm hair volume).
Weight: 744grams (including clothing).

*All measurements are approximate.

FOR SALE:

300 EUR

*NOTE: Seraphim has some bluish stains on the tips of two of his fingers due to their constant contact with his dressing gown fabric. Also, below the knee on one leg he has some yellowing tone which might be a result of some direct sunlight contact in that area of his body. If you decide to buy him it will be with the knowledge of these imperfections. There will be no discount because of these imperfections.
